What is clear aligner Revision?
The advancements in technology of dentistry are allowing more access to care for the general public which is a wonderful trend. However, we are noticing the increased technology is allowing a population of dental providers to deliver orthodontic care with minimal training or supervision–either via DIY systems or by dentists with minimal experience.
Sometimes the patient receives the excellent result we would hope for. We are noticing, however, an increase in patients who present to the office with problems or concerns after completing clear aligner orthodontics. The most concerning problems we see are issues with the balance of the bite and muscle soreness which develops TMJ symptoms.
